Designing Maintainable Software Based on the Business Domain

Agenda
Why Domain-driven Design at all? What problems do we want to solve?
Business Model Canvas & Prioritization
Gaining a fundamental understanding of the domain and identifying relevant parts
Business Domains
Conducting a detailed analysis of various business areas, systematically working out domain knowledge (e.g. with Event Storming), and drawing strategic conclusions
Bounded Contexts
Breaking down the business domain into different models and drawing boundaries in the software system
Context Maps
Integrating the different models at the technical level
Team Topologies & Fracture Planes
Assigning models and areas of responsibility to different teams and integrating them at the communication level
Tactical DDD
Implementing models with various patterns at the implementation level (keywords: domain model, event sourcing, hexagonal architectures, …)
Your Benefit
Participants learn to work out and analyze the underlying domain together with domain experts, to answer strategic questions in modeling and development, and to realize the models with tactical patterns at the implementation level. Participants can integrate different models and teams, and thus design understandable and long-lived software systems.
Target Audience
This workshop is aimed at software developers and architects who design and evolve systems. You already have practical experience in IT projects. Knowledge of a specific technology or programming language is not required.
iSAQB Accredited
In our seminar, we implement the learning goals of the iSAQB curriculum DDD in a modern, hands-on and interactive way. On your way to becoming a Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) Advanced, you receive 20 methodological and 10 communicative Credit Points.

Our Extras for You
All exercise results and theoretical content shown are made available to participants electronically afterwards
Official Certificate of Participation
In this seminar, participants are awarded 20 methodological and 10 communicative Credit Points for the iSAQB® CPSA-Advanced Level with a perpetually valid iSAQB® certificate.
