Software Architecture – Methodical Basics (iSAQB® CPSA-Foundation Certification)

In this compact seminar, you’ll experience how an appropriate software architecture emerges iteratively and stands the test of time. Exercises with an “aha” effect, following a concrete project, build on the concise theoretical input from your trainer. Learn the essentials about architecture drivers, software design, and evaluating solution approaches. Get feedback and exchange ideas with the other seminar participants. We manage the balancing act of conveying the methodical toolkit for contemporary software architecture in a lively way, while also laying a solid foundation for a successful certification.

Why embarc?

We stand for modern, methodical software architecture like no other company in German-speaking countries. In our seminar, we convey our contemporary approach to the topic and give impulses for your work in a team. Regardless of whether you’re involved as a software developer or as a software architect. Short theoretical inputs alternate with practicing in small groups and different formats.

Target Audience

As a participant in this seminar, you should already have practical experience in professional software development in a team. Basic knowledge in at least one programming language is also an advantage, as is basic knowledge of UML, object orientation, and basic technologies such as relational databases and networks.

iSAQB Accredited

This seminar is accredited as official preparation for the exam for the “Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level” (CPSA-F). The exam is conducted by an independent certification body on the last day of the seminar, and is the basis for your further path to the iSAQB Advanced Level.

Official Certificate of Participation
As a participant of the seminar and the exam, you earn the “Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level” (iSAQB® CPSA-Foundation) qualification.

Additionally ...
The book “Effektive Softwarearchitekturen: Ein praktischer Leitfaden” (German, 9th edition, Hanser Verlag) by Gernot Starke is, in our view, the ideal companion for the certification. We greatly value the author as a professional exchange partner in our joint work within iSAQB. His book remains a valuable companion even after the seminar. It is included in the seminar price for every participant (hardcover edition and eBook). We also provide you with a briefing on the book ahead of the course. It names the central chapters of the book and supports exam preparation with a view to the iSAQB curriculum.
